IWC Aquatimer Automatic Edition "Boesch" (Price, Pictures and Specifications)
Since 1920, Boesch Motorboote has been manufacturing high-performance mahogany boats on Lake Zurich. The boat builder from Kilchberg and IWC Schaffhausen share a passion for high-quality craftsmanship and a design that unites form and function to perfection.
Boesch’s design language is characterized by timeless shapes with clear lines and the combination of noble woods with shiny metal parts.
To mark the 100th anniversary of Boesch, IWC presents the Aquatimer Automatic Edition “Boesch”, which incorporates essential design features of the Boesch anniversary boat.
The dark brown dial and rubber strap contrast with the 44-millimetre stainless steel case, while gold-plated hands and indices set a colourful accent. Inside, the IWC-manufactured 82100 calibre is at work.
This high-quality automatic movement features a Pellaton winding system with components made of virtually wear-free ceramic, which builds up a power reserve of 60 hours. A unique feature for a diver’s watch is the transparent back, which allows a view of the movement decorated with circular graining.
To still maintain a high-water resistance of 30bar, a specially thickened sapphire crystal is used for this purpose. This special edition is limited to 100 pieces and exclusively available in Switzerland.
