Omega Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold (Price, Pictures and Specifications)
Good news for fans of bronze watches! In a truly pioneering moment, the new Seamaster 300 collection includes a special model crafted from Omega’s exclusive Bronze Gold. Not only beautiful to look at, the timepiece represents the very first Omega to be created in this patent-pending alloy.
Unique In Every Way
Used for the entire 41 mm case and buckle, Bronze Gold was specifically developed to produce a pleasing aesthetic and hue, while also offering a bronze alloy that could be worn with direct contact on the skin, thanks to its distinctive composition.
Made To Last Longer
Bronze Gold is a one-of-a-kind alloy enriched with noble elements such as 37.5% gold, hallmarked as 9K, as well as palladium and silver. As well as featuring a soft pink hue, it offers incomparable corrosion resistance without verdigris-oxidation, and will therefore age slowly and retain its natural and beautiful patina over a longer period of time.
Bronze Dial
The sandwich dial uses a common bronze alloy (CuSn8) to offer a unique dark brown colour with a patina created after a special aging process. The contrast with the Bronze Gold is therefore particularly captivating.
Brown Ceramic Bezel
To complement the Bronze Gold, the bezel ring of the watch has been created in brown ceramic with its diving scale in vintage Super-LumiNova. It is also thinner than the previous bezels to give the watch a slimline look.
Leather Strap
Adding to the vintage charm of this watch, Omega has placed the Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold on a brown leather strap, with its buckle made from Bronze Gold. The unique formation of the alloy means that this bronze can be worn close to the skin.
Like some classic Seamaster 300 models, the dial’s hour markers are in the vintage open Arabic style.
Calibre Omega 8912
Through the sapphire crystal on the caseback, wearers can view the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912. The movement and full watch are certified as a Master Chronometer, approved by METAS, and resistant to magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss. The calibre features a free-sprung balance with silicon balance spring, two barrels mounted in series, and is automatic winding in both directions.
A Pioneering History
As part of the famous “Professional Trilogy”, which also included the Speedmaster and Railmaster watches, the original Seamaster 300 was launched in 1957 as Omega’s first-ever professional divers’ watch. The easy-to-read design offered superb water-resistance, as well as Omega’s first diving bezel. The original Seamaster 300 was a popular and reliable choice amongst experienced divers, scientists and militaries working at sea.
