Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider
Roger Dubuis further speeds up its 'Dare to be Rare' concept with the launch of three Excalibur Spider models inspired by performance-oriented industries and supercar supremacy.
Roger Dubuis offers three new expressions of its Excalibur Spider combining the signature features of its skeleton timepieces with the unmistakable racing design stamp of the brand's recent luxury alliances.
Because Roger Dubuis never does anything by halves, the Excalibur Spider Double Flying Tourbillon recalls the specific colour coding typical of supercar dashboards. The vibrant orange shade of the rubber overmolding is picked up on the two-tone skeleton dial as well as the strap and stitching, in a tip of the hat to supercar seats with their different materials and multicolour details. This zestful model is powered by brand-new hand-wound mechanical skeleton Calibre RD105SQ.
The twin flying tourbillons at 5 and 7 o'clock are rimmed by speedometer-type small seconds displays, while the multi-coloured power-reserve indicator is a cool nod to racing-car cockpit fuel gauges. Exclusivity is the middle name of this 28-piece limited edition.
Contrasts reign supreme as the soft and warmth glow of pink gold is paired with futuristic titanium and multi-layered carbon on the new Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic. The two new models perfectly embody the talent and ingenuity deployed by the 'pioneer of contemporary skeletons', with contrasts also expressed through finishing textures, and synonymous with the racing automobile-inspired vibe embodied in the Excalibur collection. Roger Dubuis maintains its resolutely exclusive approach to watchmaking with 28- and 88-piece limited editions.
