Yema Pearldiver (Price, Pictures and Specifications)
The Pearldiver is the very first model designed by one of Yema fans via their collaborative platform Yema CoLabs. Marin Ravenel, the project creator, is a watch collector fond of vintage dive watches from most renowned brands.
Marin's Pearldiver is inspired from the Yema Navygraf II from the 1970's, a vintage model too often neglected for its particular case, which has been completely redesigned to give it a more modern look. The watch offers a perfect vertical symmetry with its no-date dial and non-graduated bezel that displays the same markers and symbols on both sides.
The superdome hesalite crystal from the 1970's returns to Yema's catalogue with the Pearldiver reinforcing the vintage tool watch look. With its contained 38mm size and a reasonable 46mm lug-to-lug, the Pearl Diver is the perfectly fitting neo-vintage tool watch for wrists up to 7.5" (19cm).
The Pearldiver is equipped with their new In-house Caliber Yema2000 and a Hesalite Superdome crystal in the pure tradition of vintage models.
Yema2000 In-House Caliber
The second-generation in-house Caliber Yema2000 is powered by optimized components yielding slightly better performance than similar calibers, offering a daily rate of +/- 10 s/d and a power reserve of 42h. This three-hand movement variation uses the revolving disc method for displaying the time: The outer ring for hours and the innermost for minutes, the discs being stacked on top of each other.
Aluminium Bezel
Oversized, slightly curved, rotating divers’ watch bezel marked in five-minute increments. Aluminium insert for a neo-vintage look.
Dive Watch Hands
A black PVD treatment is applied to the hour and the arrow-shaped minute hands. High-contrast white lollipop sweep seconds hand.
High Contrast “No-Date” Dial
The creamy hue of the printed markers and hands resemble that of original-condition vintage watches, creating a striking contrast against the matt black, perfectly symmetrical no-date dial.
Hesalite Superdome Crystal
The Pearldiver features a massive 3.50mm double domed Hesalite crystal for a resolute vintage look. The Hesalite proposes a charming, softer and gentler luster than sapphire. In certain angles, the curvature of the Hesalite distorts the seconds track around the edge of the dial in a particular way that isn't found on most modern watches.
'Big Crown'
'Big Crown' with no crown guard in tribute to the 1950's classic dive watches
Neo-Vintage Bracelet
Clear neo-vintage inspiration for this unique steel dive watch bracelet. Divers extension for easy adjustment over a diving suit.
Steel Case-Back
The 316L Steel caseback proudly displays Yema's crest beautifully embossed with a hydraulic press. Marin Ravenel's collaboration is recognised via the model's reference YCL1-MR.
Super-LumiNova
The hands and markers are treated with Swiss Super-LumiNova so as to offer perfect readability in low light conditions
